Anyone coming to chibuku thid friday?

should be quite fucking intence, haven't heard any of his new stuff at all, muddlin gear i found quite muddled, nice visuals but noodles a bit too much...

what should i expect?

    i saw him at the independent with four tet last month. I liked it. Kind of a jarring mix of his jazz singing and his live looping IDM stuff, but the guy's so intense that you can get into whatever he puts out there. He does noodle to excess at times.

      I saw him at the liverpool philamonic about 18 months ago. He came out covered in what looked like analouge tape-

      f**king loads of it, right; he finished his set which had everyone up (quite strange cos its a straight like opera house)
      and i swear the tape had turned into cd's like a jacket of cd's and ting.

      how much of his success owes to his live performance?

      he is a handsome noodler after all...

        jamie lidell is amazing live, whenever or wherever he plays in london i always make sure i go and see him.

        the clips with him playing live on stage are basicly exactly what to expect but 50 times better !

          he is by far my favorite these days. I quite like all he's done, the new disc is on constant rotation at our house. Yeah check those video clips, find the one where he constructs a song live on stage- it's amazing.
